MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERFIKIR KRITIS PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract
The ability to think critically is essential for every learner to have, given that this skill is a major necessity in undergoing the learning process and in everyday life. However, the reality shows that there are still many students who lack critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Discovery learning model as an effort to improve critical thinking skills in science learning at SD / MI. The method applied in this writing is a literature study (library research) conducted by investigating various literature studies related to the Discovery learning model as an effort to improve critical thinking skills. The researcher used a framework consisting of four stages, namely: data collection, data selection, data analysis, and conclusion. The results of the analysis of several previous studies that have been analyzed show an increase in students' critical thinking skills after applying the discovery learning model. The application of the discovery learning model can be used as an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills in science learning in elementary schools.
