Abstract
This research aims to evaluate the impact of using poster media on Citizenship Education (PKN) learning outcomes at MIN 4 Medan City. The experimental method was carried out on 40 students with division into experimental and control groups, each consisting of 20 students, who were selected using random sampling techniques. The research instrument is a multiplechoice test with 20 questions. Normality and homogeneity tests were carried out to fulfill data analysis requirements. The results of the analysis show that: (1) PKN learning outcomes in the experimental group (students taught using poster media) are in the high category, with an average value of 83.15, median 85.5, mode 88.92, and standard deviation 8 .6; (2) PKN learning outcomes in the control group (students who were taught without using poster media) were in the medium category, with an average score of 67, median 73, mode 64.9, and standard deviation 12.8; (3) The results of the hypothesis test show that there is a significant difference between the PKN learning outcomes of students who are taught using poster media and those who are not, with a t value of 4.68, exceeding the t table value. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers consider using poster media as an alternative in the learning process, in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of learning.
