Abstract
The ability to read is very essential for every student to have, considering that this ability is a major need in undergoing the learning process and in everyday life. However, the reality shows that there are still many students who lack the ability to read. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of using flipbook media as an effort to improve reading skills in elementary school students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques use observation techniques, and interviews. The use of Flipbook media in improving reading skills at SDN 152981 TUKKA 1A includes the planning process, the process of using media and the evaluation process of learning media. The planning process begins with analyzing the needs of learners and determining learning objectives. The process of using flipbook media by making procedures for using flipbook interactive media to make it easier for educators and parents to help students, both classroom and outside the classroom. The evaluation process aims to test the success of using flipbook media in improving students' reading skills.
