Abstract
The concept of learning media for science subjects through animated videos for elementary school students. The descriptive qualitative type was applied in this research. The subjects of this research were fifth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Tambakrejo and the class teacher. Research data regarding the application of animated videos in science learning carried out by teachers for students. The mechanism for collecting or compiling activity data is carried out using interview, research or observation and documentation techniques. Interactive data analysis is carried out using a series of data reduction processes, data presentation and conclusion determination. The results of the research as an answer to the problem formulation indicate that the application of animated video media as a learning tool makes it easier for students to interpret science subjects presented by teaching staff and more attracts students' enthusiasm for learning. The advantages of applying animated videos: make it easier for teachers to convey material, create imagination, provide motivation, students easily remember the material, Disadvantages of animated videos: lack of media tools for preparation, long processing time, only some materials use video media, requires stable internet for downloading and large storage space.
