Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational climate and pedagogical competence on problem-solving skills in learning among public elementary school teachers in Abung Tinggi District. The research employs a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. A total of 106 teachers were selected as samples using the cluster random sampling technique. The results indicate that the organizational climate has a significant negative impact on problem-solving skills, with a correlation coefficient of r = -0.357 and a contribution of 12.8%. Meanwhile, pedagogical competence has a positive impact, contributing 13%. Simultaneously, both variables contribute 26.5% to teachers' problem-solving abilities, while the remaining 73.5% is influenced by other factors. These findings suggest that although organizational climate and pedagogical competence play roles in improving teachers' problem-solving skills, additional factors must be considered. Schools should focus on fostering a supportive organizational climate and enhancing teacher competence through training and professional development programs. This will contribute to improving the quality of education and creating a more effective and engaging learning environment for students.
