Abstract
This study aims to develop animation-based learning media and the use of game assessment in the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve the learning outcomes of first-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Perumnas Way Halim. The main issue faced in the field is the low student motivation and learning outcomes, which have not met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), especially in mathematics and science subjects. The dominant conventional learning model, such as lectures, causes students to be less actively involved and struggle to relate the material to their real-life experiences. Furthermore, the limited use of engaging and interactive learning media in schools is one of the hindrances. The use of animation-based media and game assessment is expected to increase student involvement and provide more engaging and relevant learning experiences. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE development model, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validity results show that the learning media is highly valid in terms of content and appearance. The media was also considered practical by both teachers and students, and proven effective in improving student learning outcomes. This study contributes significantly by integrating animation and game assessment in a problem-based learning environment, creating a more interactive learning atmosphere, and enhancing student motivation and understanding.
