Abstract

Marketing is a management component that is no less important, through marketing an institution can be known by the wider community. There has been a shift in the marketing paradigm in the current social networking era, from traditional marketing (offline) to modern marketing (online). One of the online marketing media is through social media. Research objective: to find out the principal's strategy for increasing the number of students through social media marketing. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive research type, with data collection using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The research results show that the school principal has implemented educational marketing through social media in a very conceptual manner, the social media used are Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. The problem and solution faced is an unstable network. The solution is to first conceptualize the promotional materials well, then once everything is ready, upload the materials to a place with a good network, usually in the highlands.
