PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA KOMIK STRIP BERBASIS DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SESIKUN BAHASA LAMPUNG DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract
Lampung language learning in elementary schools still faced various challenges, particularly low student learning outcomes caused by the limited availability of engaging and contextual learning media. This condition highlighted the need for the development of innovative instructional media capable of actively involving students in the learning process. This study aimed to develop a discovery learning–based strip comic learning media that was valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes on Sesikun material in Grade V elementary school. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consisted of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 27 students from class V-B at SDN 1 Negara Ratu. Data were collected through validation questionnaires administered to material experts, media experts, and language experts; response questionnaires from teachers and students; and learning outcome tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The validation results indicated that the learning media was categorized as valid to very valid, with scores of 91% from material experts, 95% from media experts, and 77% from language experts. The practicality test showed very positive responses, with percentages of 97.5% from teachers and 92.9% from students. The effectiveness test using the Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value of less than 0.05, while the N-Gain test results were categorized as moderate.
